How to Paint a Room Professionally?
Here are some instructions on how to paint a room professionally
Remove and Prep Wall Plates Switches/Outlets
Start by turning off the electrical circuit that feeds those outlets, and light switches in the room. Then, label a zip lock using your marker, and have the assistant hold it for you between pairs of flathead screwdriver screws remove all plates from every switch in each room.
Cover Floors and Furniture:
Next, cover the floor and other removable items with several drops of cloth or plastic sheeting.
Remove mask or trim:
You can then use painter’s tape on the door and window trim to keep it free of paint. Then, remove the baseboard and any knock-off tape above the skirting where possible.
Patch the walls:
Next, inspect the walls for defects and light scratches should be dealt with fine-grit sandpaper, while only a metal putty is needed to peel off the paint.
Clean the walls:
Also, if your walls don’t need priming, you should rid them of oils with a wall-washing solution and an all-purpose cleaner. So finally, rinse using water and leave the walls to dry invite or use humidity.
Prime the Wall:
Then, use a primer to protect the spots and build that surface behind them. Oil-based primers are preferred in almost all cases.
Cut edge:
Next, using an angled brush or a paint edger tool, create a frame around the wall. And dip the brush lightly in the paint and start painting along.
Prepare the roller with paint:
And, the metal tray will have an actual screen on one end and you dip your roller into the paint bucket, then roll against it to remove the excess.
Roll in a W shape:
Also, using a paint roller, coat the upper left side in a “W” without overlapping until the gap is filled. And keep your ends wet for better coverage
